The Bird Attack! Update!!
Saturday, June 25th, a day that will live in infamy. Ok, I’m exaggerating but I will always remember this wedding. We shot at one of my favourite spots, the Museum of Civilization. The weather threatened the whole time so we tried to go as quickly as possible and it held off just long enough to get the job done. The cloudy weather was wonderful for pictures. However, down by the Ottawa River just as I was setting up a shot, a bird swooped down and “pecked” me right in the side of the head. The bridal party was shocked and quite amused. Thinking it was a fluke I went ahead and began setting up again. Then, the second attack came. It was time to move on. Apparently there was a nest near by and it was merely protecting his/her young. However, I will never watch Alfred Hitckcock’s “The Birds” the same way, ever again. I have attached a picture of a Redwing Blackbird, the type that attacked me but my associate photographer snapped a shot of the actual bird and I will update this post when she sends it to me. Update - I have attached a photo of the actual bird that attacked me.
